Mahmoodreza Gorji, Marjan Hajirahimi, and Salar Basiri designed and manufactured an apparatus for the preservation of manuscripts and antiques in museums in order to decrease the effects of environmental elements on the precious exhibits at museums.
Gorji, the head of the Iranian invention team, said that the team spent more than a year studying the way to smarten up museums and that the project was implemented at the Ardak Manoukian museum in Tehran nearly a year ago.
According to the inventor, the invention was welcomed by juries at the 13th International Invention Fair of the Middle East.
When the invention won a gold medal in Switzerland for the first global appearance, some littoral states of the Persian Gulf invited the group for cooperation, but the team rejected their invitation and started the project in the Iranian capital Tehran at personal expense.
The 13th International Invention Fair of the Middle East was held by the Kuwait Science Club in cooperation with the International Federation of Inventors' Associations in Kuwait, where more than 160 competitors from 40 countries took part to showcase their inventions on February 12-15.
